ok, so ijust got locked up riding, i live in nj, and for all ive gathered u cannot registure or insure an atv. i got 4 tickets and they are as follows:
unregistered atv
uninsured atv
non working lights(none at all)
and operating atv on pvt. property
ok so i understand the pvt. property thing to an extent because i was told by town cops they didnt care if locals ride there, but i was arrested by transit cops because to get into the pit you have to ride the tracks.bull s***. what do you guys think, and do you know about these registration and insurance laws?
any help would be great!

You can register and insure an atv... I live in NJ and 3 of my friends have it done, but 2 of them have gotten caught (coincidence?). If I do register mine it's going to be in PA because i'm in northern nj

Your bike is set up for MX, so what they want from you is to stay on the MX track, no where else.

Believe you need to read this.

Looks like your the one in the wrong and no one else. As far as i know from a buddy of mine its illegal to even own a ATV or Dirt Bike in NJ, but its not really inforced and you can only ride if its registered in 2 places, Raceway Park in Englishtown and NJORVP in Chatsworth.

People dont realize that they need to read up on laws reguarding 4 wheelers. I had no idea Baltimore county was so b^tchy about these things when I bought mine.

Why buy something you know you cant use without getting a fine because there is no place to ride it?

Thats like buying a car and not intending to get a drivers license
