I have a pair of Burgard stock length 250r a-arms will they fit on a 400ex?

Yes but you'll have to trim them at the frame mount. They don't quite have the same caster and camber but they'll work.

Mine are adjustable on the lower a-arm.

THAT'LL JUST CHANGE YOUR CAMBER, CASTER IS THE IMAGINARY FORCE THAT KEEPS YOUR WHEELS STRAIGHT ( WHEN PROPERLY ALIGNED )

CASTER IS THE DIFFERENCE IN DISTANCE BETWEEN HOW FAR FORWARD THE BOTTOM BALL JOINT IS, IN RELATION TO YOUR UPPER. THE MORE FORWARD YOUR LOWER BALL JOINT THE MORE CASTER. 400EX -TO- 250R ARMS ARE NOT THAT FAR OFF. IF YOU NEEDED TO, YOU COULD USE THEM AND PROBABLY WOULDN'T NOTICE THE DIF THAT MUCH.

If the lowers have hiems do not use them for adjustment. That will effect your shock mount position. The shock should be alligned with the top mount. If you were talking about possibly adjusting the lower ball joint for camber reasons that would be ok but not recomended.

I belive the 250r a arms are and inch wider than stock 400ex a arms, so your front end will be about 2 inches wider than stock.

That would be camber. Like someone else said earlier, the mount for the 400ex is narrower then the 250r. In order for it to work you would have to cut down the pivot tubes on the arms. The 250r mount is 52mm and the 400ex is 44mm. That is quite a bit you would have to cut off. And you would have to do it equally. Unless they used really thick delrin bushings and then all you would have to do is change the bushings and sleeves.
