nope not a problem i am running a K&N and i have a UNI from a 400ex as a spair

yep 400ex and 450r filters are the same..:cool:

no they are not the same, but the 400ex filter will fit rather well on the 450r intake boot. If you make a rear support bracket for the 400ex filter, it almost works perfectly. There is a difference is the onverall length and diameter of the two. the 450r filter is longer and a bit smaller in diameter with integrated rear support bracket to prevent the filter from unknowingly falling out of the intake boot while riding.
