I can't wrench with one arm. I case you haven't seem my post in the "Open Forum", I totaled my 3 month old Chevy 1500 crew cab this past Friday. I broke my left arm in the wreck.

How do these little quads compare to others? I found an 02 for CHEAP and I might just pick it up. I want to build one with a stock motor. and one with a kx250 or 500 motor.

hardkoratvmxr
07-24-2005, 02:23 PM
they run very well for little quads but are a little more on the temper side of things. i know for a fact a stock mojave just piped and jetted will run with a stock 300 with 20inch razrs and k&n. i like them because they are the only youth quad with liquid cooling

Pvt. Maggot
07-24-2005, 09:19 PM
I herd they were faster then a 400ex..If there the same as a 300ex then I dunno about one with a stock motor..but I wouldn't mind putting a kx500 motor in one

Jaybr
08-03-2005, 08:46 AM
They're great quads, and can be made to run and like someone said their the only liquid cooled quad in the youth class.

I actually did most of the wrenching on Mx426's. It had a 300cc motor built by CWR and would easily outrun his stock motor 400ex. CWR is the place for Mojave work and parts http://www.cycleworksracing.net/

You've got to sink some dough in them to beat a 400ex and even then you better hope the 400 doesn't get a pipe.

Ok, here's what I got completed today...

1.) Front tires mounted on the new wheels
2.) Put in the motor.
3.) Put on the swingarm.
4.) Put the rear end together.
5.) Installed Nerf Bars.

I ran into a problem with #4. The bearings were not seated all of the wat so I can't put the axle in. Anyway, here are some pics so far.

I made the horrible battery box included with the Goki electric start kit work. It's not the same box that came with the first one but I redneck engineered it and it actually turned out ok. It's mounted under the seat and I had to make sure that the swingarm wasn’t going to hit it. The rear of this Mojave as sooooooooooooooo much travel in the rear it is sick. Even after the rear shock moves 12" up, I still have almost four inches beterr the Big Gun muffler and the axle! Anyway, I going out to get some Valvaline VR-1 Racing 20w50 oil, Engine Ice antifreeze, order my KX250 kill switch for the electric start, get some mother's aluminum polish for the rear wheel and a few other things. The next pictures I post will be the Mojave FINALLY COMPLETED!!!!!!

Very nice and clean restoration job there.

I really like your choice if color combos. Just the right mix of orange and black in the correct places. :D Subtle and sexy. ;)
