I am looking to by Works shocks, but the only thing is I dont know the difference between the Dual rate and Triple Rate. It is only a $50 difference in price. Can someone tell me what the difference

TRIPLE RATE - HAS THREE SPRINGS

WHEN YOUR SHOCK COMPRESSES THE SOFTEST SPRINGS WORKS FOR HIGH SPEED TRANSITIONS AND REALLY SOFT BUMPS. WHEN THAT SPRING IS FULLY COMPRESSED AND THE SPACERS BETWEEN THAT SPRING AND THE SECOND BOTTOM OUT, THE SECOND SPRINGS STARTS COMPRESSING. THE SECOND SPRING YOU'LL NOTICE IS A LITTLE LARGER THAN THE TOP MOST. THIS SPRING TAKES OVER FOR THE LITE JUMPS AND BIG HOLES THAT YOU'LL HIT. WHEN THAT ONE IS FULLY COMPRESSED THE THIRD AND FINAL SPRING BEGINS TO COMPRESS. BEING THAT THIS IS THE FINAL SPRING IN THE SET IT IS DESIGNED FOR BOTTOM OUT RESISTANCE. WHEN YOU HIT THE BIG JUMPS THIS IS THE ONE THAT COUNTS.

DUAL RATE - ONLY 2 SPRINGS

BASICALLY THE SAME AS ABOVE BUT IT ONLY HAS 2 SPRING RATES INSTEAD OF 3

LOOK AT IT LIKE THIS
YOUR WALKING DOWN THE STAIRS. WHICH WOULD BE EASIER ON YOUR LEGS?

TAKING 20 STEP DOWN THE STAIRS 2-3 AT A TIME? ( DUAL RATE)
OR
TAKING 20 STEPS 1 AT A TIME AND FINISHING IN THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME? ( TRIPLE RATE )

TRIPLES WOULD BE THE WAY TO GO. LESS CHOPPY AND EASIER TO RIDE. HOPE THIS HELPS IN YOUR DESISION

yeah thanks that really helped. Sounds like you know what you are talking about. You explained in detail and i was not confused at all. Thanks for the help. Im defienetly going for the Triple Rates.

If I trip on the second step and tumble the rest of the way down the stairs which shocks should I buy?:devil:
