went to durhamtown plantation. union point, ga.
www.durhamtown.com
this place is just incredible, atv/mx park. it was featured in last months dirt wheels mag.
7000 acres, 100 miles of trails, 4 mx tracks [ atv track, mx bike track, pee-wee track, and another swamp track].
this place has it all, we stayed friday and saturday. rented a cabin, pull my trailer to my cabins front door, unload and ride.
the 3 adult tracks were mixed, so you were out there with atvs and bikes.
the tracks were well taken care of, all the takeoff lips were in great shape, nothing trying to throw you off line in the air. no small stuff here, most of the jumps were table style or big doubles. you could only see maybe 3 landings all the rest were blind until you launched from the takeoff ramps. some of the ramps had to be 18 to 20 ft tall, most of the tabletops were probly 30 to 40 ft long.
i even had fun on the trails, most 6-8 ft wide, with plenty of switchbacks and jumps to keep it from getting boring. after about 35 minutes out on [i think trail-a, not sure] you come up on a mx track out in the middle of the woods [swamp track] smaller track but you can pretty much keep it in 3rd and just hammer around.
tabletops, doubles, rockers. then back on the trails.
if anyone has thought about going and hasnt, you wont be disappointed when you get there.
tent camping, rv's, cabins, lodge, pro-shop, mx tracks, trails, drag-strip, hillclimbs, mud pits
$25 for 1 day, $40 for 2 day ride
trails open from 9am-5pm
tracks open from 9am-8pm
anyway, this is the best place i have ever been to, for all around riding. if your around the southeast, check it out.
