Just buying springs is pretty gay, and I don't even think you can do that. Look for works shocks on ebay or on here. You can find some if you look hard enough. For $150 you could get a used set of front dual rates w/o rezzzies. I just bought a set of fully adjustable dual rates with rezzies. They are $970 a pair for them brand new, I got them for $350 :D . I'll let you know how the perform once I get them.

i got a set of dual rate w/o rezzies for like 50 dollers and they just need recharged and oil but i made sure there was still some oil in them so that the seals wouldnet go bad so if you buy a set that need recharged make sure they have atleast a little shock oil left in them so the seals will probably still be good.

recharge is like put the right mixture of shock oil and w/e the type of gas that goes in them it will vary what the mixture will be with you specific weight but your local dealer does it then they should be able to tell you and stuff.

Can't get rebound adjustment on which shocks? The Elkas? Yeah, you can get rebound adjustment on them. Although last time I checked, you couldn't get any kind of adjustment on 300EX shocks from Works, rebound or compression.

Like I said, I called works and they said they hove only ever made 5 sets of them for a 300ex because they are so expensive. And yes they do have compression and rebound adjustments, I have them right here in my hand and I am about to go put the on my quad. They have the little screw for adjustment right on the side of the rezzy where the line comes into it.. The guy I talked to at works said that they are extremely rare.
