Ok recently i bought new douglas .190 front rims and ITP mx tires on them..i raced on race with them on and im trying to switch them with my stock ones because i want to do some trail riding this weekend..well i got the bolts off but when i try to take off the tires, they wont budge..i tried everything..taping the tire with a hammer, wd40, all kinds of stuff, but they still wont budge. has anyone had this problem before? or have any ideas how to get them off?

The only way I have ever found to take tires off stock wheels is to run over the side wall on the tire with my pickup so that should work for you're rims too

Wait.. are you talking about taking the tire and wheel off of the quad.. or dismounting the tire off the wheel....

on my t-9's, i had to take a large wheel puller and flip the legs around backwards to get the wheel off the lugs. tried the mallet and to no avail. the probled is the wheel was not drilled out enough.

please tell me you turned your lugs around !!!!!!the taper is for stock or oversized holes on the newer itp rims! flip the lugs so the flats against the rim. 48lbs on torque!!!torque everything!!!!!!!!!!!

I didnt... cuz i didnt want to scratch the polished finish. but it took forever to snug them up. they were pulling metal shavings off the rims all the way on the lugs but i didnt know it until i was finished:rolleyes:

I had the same problem. I took a dead blow hammer (plastic hammer with sand in the head) spun the tire and just kept hitting the tire until it came off. Did not cause any damage to the threads either.
