We got a SMOKER!!

I have a 4oo ex with a 440 kit, stageII cam, K&N filter, & WB E series pipe. After the install of the cam and 440 kit the engine began to burn oil. I thought it was the wear on the vavles or guides but the machine shop said they were ok. The oil doesnt appear to be coming from the bottom end but Im not 100% sure.

Ant thoughts??

when was the last time you changed your rings or vavle seals?

how did you break it in?
how long has it been smokin, did it smoke before you rebuilt it (the packing might be oily and needs to burn out the oil)?
what oil u usin and how much
gaskets?

do you think the cam could be off by a tooth or two

if u havent broken it in fully the rings havent sat yet

if the timing was off it wouldnt run bc thats wat ahppen to one of my friends 400 it ujumped timing and wouldnt run and i think it was 1 tooth off
