ya man this sucks, for about two weeks just rest and take it easy dont do anything with it, after about two weeks maybe longer start doing somethings with it and move it around, only if u can! that should speed up the process at least it did for me, sleeping is gonna be a pain.

Stand up very straight with your shoulders straight, don't slouch. DO NOT lift anything heavy ( I think it was something like over 10lbs.) and finally.....DON'T MOVE......:D Just kiding on the last one. Remember your collarbone is a constantly moving bone, there is no way to cast it up so it will move continuously through the healing process. But your best bet is don't lift anything heavy and just WAIT. Do to much to soon, and it will never heal properly.

hey man sry to hear this i was lookin forward to watkins this weekend. but when i broke mine it snapped in 2 spots and is now half an inch shorter. but all i did was sit on a couch for a week, then i started doing light things for a week. after that started training and riding again. they heal pretty fast and drink milk. if try not to move it for a week it will heal a lot faster. hope this helps .

it's not exactly the same, but i dislocated my collar bone from the joint on the breast bone back earlier this year, and it took me about 2 months or a little less to start riding again. it was at least a month b4 i could do much with my arm.

I broke my sternum right befor the Christmas holidays and i was just kinda sitting around and my dad wasent letting me drive his sled or the 340. So i did not do anything for 2 weeks and then after that it hurt a bit and if fell or something it would hurt again for a day or so. So i just suggest relaxing and letting time heal it up. Im boared so i am going to list some things that helps the time go quicker: T.V,Sleep,Sit in shower, play around with the wife ( make sure she dose the work ) lol Good luck and i hope you heal fast so you dont have a ***** summer:eek2: :p  :blah: :chinese:
