If i were to buy 400EX/250R shocks that were stan. travel, im guessing around 16in., could i have them sent off to get rebuilt, then cut to be made 14.75 in. long, or what ever everyone is using with plus 2arms on a 300EX? ANy help would be greatly appreciated, b/c i dont wanna call works or elka, b/c i know that would be more expensive to have them custom made. And im not made of money. (i would also be using the shock mount kit)

You can have it done but it will cost as much as a new set of shocks.

k, thank you. I think im just gonna get a set of 300ex shocks and some plus 2 a-arms from my dealer. Their gonna give us a deal on it. but thank you for the reply.
