OMG!!! THE GEOMETRY!!!

dont you know that you could tear a hole in time and space!!! (and whatever other excuses many others used for not doing that..)

you must not fear being turned inside out or whatever was supposed to happen.

im glad to hear that.
many have done it and other than being chastised by those that could afford otherwise, noone has reported anything bad..

Works wants $200 to rebiuld mine but I think the stock 450r shocks would be better

id expect thats about how much you could buy the 450 shocks..

but theyre only single rate, so im sure the works would be better.(i hope so anyway.. cause i already blew the ca$h on mine..)

you've got to be kidding, unless your running extended lenght a-arms the only thing 450r shocks will do on a 400ex is look better . U have zero travel in them !:blah:

what does single rate, triple rate, etc mean? what exactly does it mean to get a shock rebuilt?

They work great on everything. I'm a big guy and they seem to handle my weight better.

You have to do some minor grinding on the top mounts. The 450 shocks are aluminum so they have a bigger eye than the stockers. It's very easy to do.

what r better elka double rate shocks or 450r shocks

wheeltrax

definately the elkas.. without a doubt. First you cant beat a shock made for the machine, plus its valved for your weight and riding style, and its a triple rate shock with ZPS.

So the 450r shocks will really work good on 400ex cause i really need a better set of shocks I bottom out coming off jumps and i think 450r shocks will be a better bet for my 400ex
Any input would help me out:

How much air can they handle?
