I have a GTX that we usually have in a local lake around here that is pretty big but they had a problem with the dam and had to drain all of the water out so this summer is pretty much killed for that :ermm: .

Here she sits now.

My buddy just picked up one of the supercharged 3 seaters. I haven't ridden it but he said it hauls *****. He lives right on the Chesapeake Bay so he uses it 4 or 5 times a week. If I all ready didn't have a money pit I would pick one up.:p

my cousin has 2. a wave runner and a seadoo with the shock absorber in the seat. i like the waverunner alot better just cause it handles so much better and it makes one hell of a roost

They are actually easy to ride down, as long as you have your trim all the way up, when you land back into the water, you are vertical and it's a very smooth landing.

The only time it really jolts you is if you land flat, then it's really bone jarring! The key is to adjust your trim all the way up!

Here are a few more, my dad is jumping the blue yamaha gp1200:

The last pic is a no hander lander, those are pretty tough!!

Yeah when you land flat it HURTS. I dont have trim so I basically experience that everytime I hit a decent size wake :ermm: :chinese:

And this is what can happen when you don't land it correctly! This is x-rays from my dad's broken femur in 4 places. He jumped, his waverunner started going crooked so he bailed off the waverunner, only he bailed too late. The waverunner landed and then he came flying and landed right on top of it, smashed his knee into the back of it. He had 10 months of PT, 2 surgeries and now he's got to have his knee replaced. It can be dangerous!!!http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/briansgi/femur1.jpg

whats the average engine size on one of those. like quads an average engine size is like 400cc or 500cc in that range. arent those motors 2stroke?

trick250r
06-29-2005, 07:25 PM
by '06 all of them have to be four stroke. the honda's are four stroke and they even have a turbocharged model. most of the faster ones are around 1200cc i do believe.

Yea, we get parallel to big cruisers and time their wake and jump. It takes a while to get the hang of it but you can get some serious air with the bigger boats. You have to be careful and not over rotate, that's what happened on this jump. You didn't see the end result but the seat was the first to hit the water!http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/briansgi/spx_hanging.jpg

No, all the new waverunners are way to heavy now. These pics were me on my SPX which weighs 428 pounds dry. I've since sold the SPX and bought a '94 Waveblaster. It is even lighter at 350 pounds which means more air than I was getting with the SPX. It's all about power to weight ratio!

The RXP on the other hand weighs a whopping 790 pounds! It's a lead sled!!

My place is over on Grand Lake in NE Oklahoma. I've heard you have some huge cruisers on lake of the ozarks as well!

This is what I have now, these are the best wave jumper's ever built!!

yeah i see,,, yes the ozarks are huge, even have drag boat races there, there are some huge cruisers as well as tripple or quadruple proped cigar boats. i didnt know the 2 seater competition RXP which is what i have weighed that much,,, i thought the 3 seater did....

06-30-2005, 11:47 AM
your right tho,,, they do! 1500cc supercharged engine takes care of the weight tho :o it sure dont feel heavy,,, do you have any idea how much the old XPs weighed?

06-30-2005, 01:18 PM
The old XP's were the same hull and motor as the newer SPX's with the 110HP motor, such as the 1998 - 1999 SPX. So their weight would have also been around 428 dry.
