What do you guys do to get rid of arm pump?

I use when of those spring things with the handle and hang on a bar it seemed to help me from last race. Also i was told to take 2 asprin before the race and that helps to thin your blood, im not sure if that helped any

just wondering what your secrets are

dont hang onto the bars tight, let your hands kinda float over the bars lightly gripping, this really helps reduce or eliminate arm pump

I hear the two best things are Flexx handlebars and a suplement such as Pump-X.

I use the hand grip things that you do, too.

Take a broomstick, tie two 10 or 20 pound weights to the end with long strings. Stand on top of something (box, edge of the porch, etc etc, anything to get you off the ground) and roll the broomstick up rotating it towards you.

dont tighten your riding gloves tight, keep them loose around the wrist. and i also use underware gloves so i buy my riding gloves one size bigger so they wont be tight on my hand. dont sound like it helps but i will assure you it does. and a good hand grips also are a must to help eliminate it.

you need potasuim. So eat alot of bananas before you ride, and just whenever. And drink alot of orange juice too,

You better stop before you start growing hair on your palms and go blind ;)

I had some very bad arm pump problems and this is what I do to help it.

2 aspirin before 1st moto and 1 before the 2nd moto.
alot of water and banana's the day of and before the race.
try to relax when racing, stay loose in the air, don't use the "death grip"
the biggest thing is to remember to breathe!!!! Just like running or working out. you gotta breathe.

keep your elbows up in the "attack" position, you wont have to work as much to move the bike around and you can use your shoulders to do some of the work, and not only rely on your arms.

in the middle of the race, get off of your bike and do some cartwheels

always worked for me:D

Take a Cardio stack pill about 45 min before the race. Quit drinkin carbonated drinks. Ride every chance you get, work out, run, stuff like that. Since I started drinkin Kool-aid, gadorade, milk and water, running every know and then, workin out mondays, wendsdays, and fridays I have eliminated almost all my arm-pump and fatige in a 20 min TT race.
