400ex advice.

Hi. I'm getting a brand new 400ex in about a week. I am so excited. I was just wanting to know if anyone has any advice for someone new to the 400ex. Thanx a lot!

Umm, wear a helmet?

after about 5 tanks of gas it needs to be serviced for the first time. New oil and filter, adjust the valves, etc.

Make sure to break it in properly,,don't unload it and ride the piss out of it on your first time out,,be easy with it for the first few rides.

Don't use the choke when starting it,,just pump the gas about 2 times and hit the starter button,,if you start messing with the choke when trying to start it you'll foul plugs left and right.

ride it easy for at least a day so you can get used to the power. i went from a 93 230 quadrunner to a ex. the first time i went riding, i had 1 too many close calls. oh yea, most important, like the guys said....have fun, and come here for any more ?
