i really need something besides a 300ex. i want to rade even for a blaster, but willing to buy for reasonable price.

300ex is mostly stock.
parts of motor have been rebuilt
DG pipe
K&N air filter
renthal bars
new plug
new oil filter
new right A-Arm

Well,I've got a blaster,but its a drag bike (drag port +4 swinger etc).$4,500 in motor.runs 5.3 on 300ft.let me konw.

Yeh I sure did.But this is my first 2-stroke,and I dont know too much about 2-strokes like mantaining them etc...So O realized I would probably be better on a not so modified bike.But im sure when I go to the dunes i'll see what this thing can do,and kick myself for even thinking of getting rid of it.I asked for tips like on mantaining them,and what to change and when,but nobody answer so im completely clueless.any help?

im not a big 2 stroke guy..make sure u always check ur oil and gas and port and polish it once a year

Port & Polish every year :huh :huh I don't think so

Maintenance wise for ours, we do the usual, change the case oil, clean the air filter,make sure carb is clean, we have some major porting on it that has held up 4 yrs.!!! We JUST 2 wks ago redid the whole thing, got an 02' motor & put a big bore on it w/ some other "goodies" & ported this one also, you don't have to port & polish them all the time, at least i've never heard of that, my brohter has built both motors, the 1st motor won a Championship, this 2nd one went out barely broke in & took 1st w/ 2nd place about 1/2 lap behind!!

Anyway you may want to replace the piston every year, we don't do that either, they are built & rode right so they last long!! It just depends how modded you get it if it's gonna be finicky & need lots of maintenance the blaster are FUN little machines & can be made to be VERY quick :) have fun if ya keep it!!

Thanks, not too bad for something that just sits. Got it for my girlfriend and she only rode it once. Played a little with it cleaned it up and now it sits, rather see someone ride it. I want to break the topend in before I do anything with it though just to make sure everything is cool.
