400ex upgrades

i have an 05 400ex and have done a few things to it... jetted, lowered gearing, slip-on, k&n, no lid, etc. and it just is not fast enough... i have a lot of bottom end now since i lowered the gearing, but mid/high sucks... what can i do? i dont want to bore it out unless i have to, i was thinking fmf powerbomb header, 11:1 wiseco piston, stage 2 hotcam, and big gun rev box... i work at a honda dealership and can get good prices on anything i need, i just want to know the best all around speed and power setup i can get... i want something that will impress experienced riders, and still be fun to ride... thanks

you got the right idea, but also consider porting and a new carb, fcr maybe

If you really want to impress other riders you will need a 416 11:1 comp piston, stage 2 hotcam, and maybe port the head. And with that you would want to upgrade to a full system. You would impress others with that having a 400ex, but not with much less because the 450's are insane and you will have to have that to run close to one.
