ok i need an answer quick. if i get a clutch kit for an XR400 is it going to be the same one id get for a 400ex or is the 400ex clutch beefier than th XR on account of it being a quad?

the xr400 clutch will fit and work in the 400ex but it will wear out and start slipping faster than a 400ex clutchkit would, the clutch kit for the 400ex is beefed up to handle the extra weight of the quad

are you sure about that? im not doubting you or anything but youd just think they'd make em the same to save a little money if your going to be buying an aftermarket one that is.

Not only are they the same as an XR400, the same kit will go into all the honda liquid 250r motors and the 99-00 CBR600F4's.

So with that said, I could order stock 400ex clutch plates and put them in my 250r? Im just wondering because on average 250r parts are MUCH more then 400ex parts. Could save me a bit of money.
