Starter help, PLEAASE!

Hey I just put a new battery on my 400ex and I went to start it up and all I got was a clicking and the starter wouldnt turn, do I need a new starter? The quad sat for about a year because my brother got a 450r and didnt ride the 400 and I just moved up to it, any thing will help thanks!

it sounds like what happens when the battery isnt charged. Im not a smart ***** but make sure the new battery is actually charged.

test you voltage coming out of the relay if it is to low that could be your problem.

Well i had the battery for a while before installing it but its brand new, ill check it tomorrow

Check ALL Battery conections( Both ends ) Clean and tighten

How long is awhile?
Give us any details about the quad that you know of.
Does it have a powdercoated frame?
You don't been a new starter.
