Ignition Switch

My ignition switch crapped out on me.. for some reason the thing wont give power to the engine unless i push it extremely hard in the right spot. and sometimes that doesnt even work. I am tryin to rig somethin up to make it work cause i new switch box is like $70. Is there anywhere i can grab just the switch without that whole black piece with all the switches on it. Thanks for the help...

that hapened on my 300 a while ago, just take it apart snd sparay some cantact cleaner on it, it worked for me

sure enough! take it apart and you will be able to see a metal stick of sorts with a thing behind it with one wire off of it, clean the back of the metal stick and the front of the other thing, also check the distance when you push it back, it may have become dislodged and moved back. hopefully this makes a little bit of sense, i dont know any other way to explain it! let me know if you have any problems

yo thanks for the tip dude but the only thing is... i have the switch box apart and have the ignition switch hanging out... but now i have no clue how to take apart the switch... it looks to be latched on from the inside with two white hooks and i cant unhook'em without breakin it lol. wut do you think?

id just spray the contact cleaner in the whole thing, it cant hurt it, and try banging it on the floor a few times to nock out ne dirt in there
