Anyone race any in this series? I have a buddy that runs it on a bike and is trying to get me to go. I just wondered how they were.

I raced one last year in AR....its fine but just not as big as a GNCC. Expect a max of 40-50 riders instead of 400+

That's what I was told, but I was also told they pay out more contingency money and the trails are a little harder.

Trails weren't any more difficult than my arkansas races that I'm used to....and as far as contengincies I didnt recieve any.

I prefer these to GNCC. Yeah there aren't as many racers (yet) but you don't get yelled at because you don't have your money ready when you register. With less racers you have less to worry about becuase there are less people to get in your way which means less bottlenecks. The tracks are much better than GNCC. They are not wide open tracks like GNCC. They are more like what cross country racing should be. They pay out cash in the pro class only. They don't have a lot of contingencies this year but they are working on getting more for next year. Also, all races this year, except one (computer probs), has started on time. So you don't have to wait on the line for an hour for some moron to come & tell you what the track it like (Summersville, WV GNCC). I have been racing this promoters series for the last three years and he has done a pretty good job.

Heck just come to a race to see for yourself.
