Many of you have seen my 300ex wont start thread. I cleaned the tank and screen filter and it was nasty. The quad still was not starting. If I spray starter fluid into the card it will start up untill it burns off the starter fluid. I just put in a dyno jet, jet kit but should I buy a rebuild kit and just rebuild the whole carb, its a 97 model. But I have figured out the only reason its not starting is no fuel. Also where is the pilot jet located and does anyone know the stock settings for it

clean it out first before buying a rebuild kit.

Have you checked to see if the carb is pumping fuel, with the carb off the motor does it shoot gas when you pump the throttle? I was just curious trying to think of why it wouldn't be getting gas, did you adjust the fuel air screw right when you put the jet kit in?

I did it according to dyno jet. I have not check to see if its pumping fuel or not, what should I look for?

try cleaning the pilot jet and the pilot air circuit

Try what Colby said, to see if it is pumping fuel, take it loose from the box and intake boot and face it away from you. Hit the throttle wide open, and see if it shoots gas out the other side.

make sure you sprayed carb cleaner in every little hole and if it still doesnt start, it is nasty but blow into the hole to make sur they arent clogged

or you could use an air compressor

but you still wouldnt know if it was clogged if you used a compesser
