Hey...im selling my KX250 in order to get a quad. Im hoping to get around 3500 for it (canadian). I am also (hopefully) going to have a summer job..i should have around 5000 by the end of the summer.By the end of the summer isnt good enough..but it will have to do. I am trying to deside on which Quad too buy. The ones i like are LTZ/KFX-400, DS650,EX400(dont really REALLY like ex's) Banshee, and warrior..i would say i like the trx450r and all that big stuff, but it's way outta the price range . Now i just camew of a 250 two stroke dirtbike, so i dont think these quads should be a problem. I am also 275lbs( NOT small). I was wondering which one you guys would reccomend. I would like to hear some of your past experiences with some of these quads so i know what to look-out for ect. Thanks!

Personally i love my 450r but if you can not afford one of the 450's i would get a z400/kfx400 , they have plenty of power and are awesome trail quads and are way better than the 400ex in every category.

Im not going too be doing any motocross racing or anthing...but i want somthing fast. I would like to say i wont be doing any big jumps...but as i progress and get comfortable on machienes(atv's, dirtbike and sleds) i always end-up hitting jumps and skipping water and everything like that..so also somthing with pretty good shocks...but i can always upgrade those. Mo stly trail riding and alot in a sand pit with nice jumps and trails

Id say 400 EX cause those are awesome in the trails

z400/kfx400 or raptor or 400ex all great machines for anything and theyre fast too

Therres already a guy in my area that has a raptor..i mean they look like nice bikes.. but i want a unique bike for around here. Im kinda leaning more towrds the KFX400. What about the banshee or the warrior..they any good for trails and such?

I think the warrior is good for the trails but if you have ever rode a warrior and then get on a z/kfx you would not get back on the warrior , the z/kfx has better power/handling/suspension. Even the 400ex is superior over the warrior , i have never ridden a banshee on trails but i have rode one on straight away. They are very fast and can be built to outrun any other quad but i dont think they would be good for trails. JMO

NO! dont get a banshee for trails. Id say KFX,Z or EX for trails. Whatever u get i think u'd be happy w/ a 400.

i see. I have been looking around at the KFX now for about half a year..just never got around to selling my bike. Now i decided to and i think i might go for it(the KFX) but im still not to sure. I think i would have to sit on each one of them first to see what one i feel more comfortable on because like i said im a pretty big guy. Im 15 years old 6'0 and weight 275lbs. I watched a guy piss around on a DS650 for a while and it looked pretty awsome...and theres a couple in the auto-trader up here for 3000-4000 canadian here. I think thats a possibility also

id just go with a 400, any of them, banshees arnt really trail bikes, any 400 would be great for you, warriors are just big and heavy

hmm....all three of you mentioned that a 400 would probably be good for me...so ill probably go with one of them...but there are starting to be more and more cops out where i live...which 400 would be best for moving fast through the woods and stuff.

theyre all mostly same speed and handling.....any one is good, its just up to you which 400 to go with;)

you can always just go down to the police station and see where you can ride with out being bothered....i did that with my cops and they let me ride un a few spots

haha..alright... i guess its mostly up to the rider anyways on how fast he/she goes through woods. Thanks for the suggestions guys...but i think im out for the night. Later!

im also to far from a cop shop to ask..but next time i see one drive by and i have a quad...ill be sure to ask for directions to a trail and then take off...i think that would actually be pretty fun.

get a predator, you'll love it for your style of riding. They handle nice and have a lot of power, they also have a nice seat for bigger guys

It's all rider preference. Niether one is really better than the other. If your going for a 450 test ride the two of them, and also keep in mind the zuzki 450 should be comming out soon too.

Now for my oppinion I think you should try to get a predator. Your a bigger guy, and there plenty of room on them, the new ones have a better seat, and reverse. Even though they are kinda hevy, I don't think it show much when your riding.

I would go for a 400(ex,z,kfx)

I was thinking about it and i really like the KFX400 when i sat on it. I think I will have to find a predator around to sit on it also...but the kfx was great..but also felt a little bit on the smaller side.

You really like the KFX, but want something not everyone has. You should try to find a DVX400 and see what you think. It is the same bike as the KFX/LTZ, but made by Arctic cat. I have rode them and really like them, plus they have awesome styling.

i would say a predator would be good for you. ppl say there heavy but u dont notice it when your riding on the trails. the kfx 400 would be good to.

alright...ill give it a try...but i thought arctic cat was mostly for utility and sleds. i will look into one though for sure. that or the predator

The artic cat dvx is an exact copy of the z/kfx400's but with different plastic and seat.
