What are they and what do they exactly do

They have larger water jackets to keep the motor running cooler but the main thing is they have different domes to change the compression of the motor.

Cool Heads are only for 2-stroke engines, no camshaft or valves.

make some scoops and make sure you are not jetted lean

you can also buy a bigger fluidyne radiator or buy inline heat radiators

Get ahold of Mikey Dunlap at 4stroke tech. I think they make a larger oil cooler. I know 4 sure they sell one. That and some scoops is about all u can do on a air cooled 4 stroke. Oh dang I'm thinken 400ex! Does that thing have a oil cooler?
nope 300exs dont have a tank or cooler

You can easily add an Oil cooler to a 300ex to make it run cooler.
I have one on my 330.
Mickey Dunlap does sell them. $85 I beleive

Use a higher octane fuel to help burn cooler.

Which would be a complete waste if it's not high compression.
