Just as the title says, after it's fully warmed up it takes 3 or 4 kicks to fire up. Is this normal, I just got it today. Only takes 1 or 2 kicks when it's cold. I was thinking it might be a little lean, let me know what you think.

Your pilot jet is probably a little fat

Thanks for the help guys, but I'm still having a small issue. When it's warm it starts the best if I hold the throttle wide open, I'm thinking it might still be too rich. Since the first post I've went down on the pilot one size. I am running a 42 pilot, middle clip on needle, and a 160 main. I've got a FMF pipe, RAD valve, and open airbox with UNI filter.

Try to drop to a 38. Does it load up at idle when warm? Also, did dropping to a 42 help?

give it a few squirts of gas

if not, may be timing

but i wouldn't mess with the timing on it

Need more information! What size is your motor. What carb are you running. What needle are you using? Where is your air screw set?

What's happening is that the pilot is correct and when the motor warms up it is a bit on the rich side. All you need to do is blip the throttle as you are kicking it and it will start the first kick. If when it's warm and you don't give it any throttle it will usually kick back into you, so watch out!
