It's stuck in his house, he can't get the sliding glass door to open because the foundation shifted and jammed the door. LMAO!

wheels off, bars bent down, and shocks off if needed, get three of your friends and turn it sideways!

Reassemble and go riding!

Well yea, the biggest problem lies here: He was going to be storing it in his living room, ie: he doesnt have a garage or shed or anything.

You can build a decent shed out of a truck bed cover, a few few 2by4s and a few tarps.

thats what we tryed but the foundation moved and its compressing the doors not allowing them to come off the tracks, and I dont have the money to f up those doors at the moment. I was so pissed off at it I found an old s-10 350 conversion truck me and my dad built that I was ready to sell the quad for BUT my badluck came and he blew up the 450horse small block we had in it and put some POS heads etc on it soo my luck SUCKS lately :scary:

YOu do know there are adjustment screws for the sliding glass door rollers that you can loosen to be able to lift the sliding door and take it out right???

dont worry at least you had a plan on how to get it out, when i finished mine, i didnt even think of it, had to end up having 4 guys lift it over the wall.

read all the other posts! the foundation moved and its compressed in there

Mxjunkie
06-25-2005, 10:09 PM
uh didnt you read?! the foundation moved and it is compressing the doors and we cant get them off the tracks.

I'll probaly get a 4X4 or a 3X6 and a 2ton car jack and see if I can really f the door all up and see if I can move stuff around and get it up out of there.

06-25-2005, 10:10 PM
Here!! steps 2 and 3 only... maybe not even step 2

http://www.popularmechanics.com/home_improvement/home_improvement/1275791.html?page=2&c=y

06-25-2005, 10:11 PM
Yes i read!

doest matter if it shifted, there is 1 inch of space on the top! obviously the door can still slide so there is still space to lift it, only requires about 1/4 inch lift to get it off the bottom rail.

Mxjunkie
06-25-2005, 10:15 PM
My dad (250+ pounds) jerked on it etc and we still cant get it to over, its a PINTA to slide, its been that way for a year now. I'll even take a picture where the carpet bulges up where its lifted, the first 3-5 inches will come off till it gets to where its lifted and we cant get it to budge whats so ever.

06-25-2005, 10:18 PM
Ok i give up... obviously you didnt even bother reading the link i sent you....

Call a contractor he will do it for ya.

FoxRacing81
06-25-2005, 10:19 PM
IMO, I'd take it apart to get it out. But before you do, save up and build a shed.

Or knock the doors out and put up a garage door! Either one will take time and money though.

Mxjunkie
06-25-2005, 10:20 PM
Hm we owned a contracting buisness for years, we KNOW how to take a door apart we arent idiots, it WONT come out either way

if all else fails I'll just take it apart and put it togather outside idc

This may be a long shot.....

Lift the quad onto the rear tires and grab bar like in the pic I posted

Remove the front tires and loosen the handle bars so they drop...

Put a ratchet strap tie down on the grab bar and axle then ratchet to compress the rear suspension.....

Wiggle the quad through the door...

I thought I had it bad:p

06-25-2005, 10:24 PM
Hmmm shifting foundations, built it with your contracting business? :)

All i can tell you from "MY" Contracting and Architectual experiance is, if it can still slide it can still lift out.

Happy Chair Racing!

Hm no we didnt build this house fyi  why does everyone have to be a frickin stick in the mud on this site :ermm:

we just redid our backyard and the slab goes out 6-7ft, we had 2 bob cats, 1 case loader and a mac dump truck going over it and it cracked it all the way across, so I dont doubt that had something to do with it.

06-25-2005, 10:33 PM
Do This when dad's not around.

That'll force him to fix it :)

lmao funny pic

so im guessin u brought the quad into peices since the door been jammed a long time? just knock it out and put barn glass doors on it or something. since the foundation is messed up would that drop the value of ur home?

Mxjunkie
06-25-2005, 10:58 PM
nope, when ever I get the money I'll put barn doors in, I actually just thought of something as well, I'd bet the track is bent from the harley going over it all the time (600+ pounds) :chinese:

but yeah I brought it into the house in pieces because we took the door apart the last summer to get my lt80 out of the dining room to sell it so we figured they will come apart still, I guess not oh well, I'll get barn/french doors in the next month or so and get the quad out.

I'm glad I was able to get my 250r project out the house. I had to do some funky twisting and it took and 20 minutes to clear the door but I managed to do it. After removing the handlebars and plastic things got much easier. My japanese neighbors thougt I was crazy after they saw the finished project sitting on my porch....hahahaha

Yes, the attached pic was taken in the living room of my Japanese house and I think I am the only person on this tropical ROCK who has a fireplace.
