I just got some new elkas with piggybacks for my 300ex and they seem a little soft for the riding like to do. However the guy i buoght them off of had them set up for a 160lb xc rider on stock a-arms which is my exact weight and type of riding i do. This is my first experience with elkas and shock adjustment so do i leave them how they are or adjust them to my type of aggressive riding?

Adjust them to your style- you say they are too soft, turn the preload ring down (it's the ring on top of the springs) this will stiffen the shocks.

Or put a 2 or 3 clicks of compression in.
