I was going to go with the top of the line Yoshimura Carbon fiber for my 450 but it is going to cost about 650$ Is it really worth all that and also running the top of the line series like that is ther any thing else that i would have to do other than jet the thing also until then i was going to take the packing out of the stock muffler but did not know if it would mess anything up doing that any help would be great and remember W F O

the dyno i saw on a built bike is right here:

http://www.wppracing.com/links.htm

i can tell you that i run a sparks pipe. it did make drastic gains throughout the power band. however, it may not be the best one out there.

well does the sparks come in the carbon fiber and how much is it and how much different in sound does it have from the yoshi

i dont belive sparks has a carbon fiber pipe out yet. im not 2 sure. and i belive that sparks is more than rossier. i still think rossier is your best bet. and u can choose from a short can or a longer one.
i like rossier

how did these 2 pipes compare? i realize the rossier puts out a little more power but is it anything noticable on the bike? if so, where in the rpm range is it noticable?

Actually, everyone seems to be running white brothers pipes including, K. Windham, C. Reed, D. Vuillemin, T. Preston, E. Fonseca, H. Voss

I personally wouldnt buy Scorpion anything. I think the are like the off brand of 4 wheeler exhaust. Its like gettin a DG pipe, you will just be disappointed lol. thats IMO though.

Yeah go with rossier. I have a yosh and it cost me around 600 and my buddy just got the rossier short can for about 450 and its just as good, looks awesome, and sounds just like mine.

Between the short can and the long can Rossier, would the long can have more bottom end and the short can more top end? How loud is the Rossier, and do they have an insert for it?

when I talked to the guy at rossier they said that there really isn't a difference in power between the two. He said that the short can may give you a fraction of a horsepower but he said you can barely notice it on a dyno. I don't remeber how loud the long can is, but the short can is 109 dbs without a spark arrestor insert. You can buy an insert which will quiet it down to about 101 dbs. If you are considering the rossier go with the short can, the long can is too long and looks awkward IMO. The short can looks like a normal sized silencer and with the insert it isn't outrageously loud like it is without the insert.

What is the bike being used for? is it a mx bike, woods bike, or backyard weekend toy? Is sound an issue, or will it be someday? Do you ride dunes or any offroad area with sound restrictions?
Does your bike need to be spark arrested or will it need to be someday?

From what i know, and i've researched quite a bit into the whole pipe thing, the pulsecharger and rossier are the 2 best pipes on the planet period. The guys i hang with don't even talk about yosh, sparks or anything but the 2 i mentioned above.

The rossier beat the PC at the WPP test by a small margin. I can't remember if it was spark arrested or not, but the pc is and looses no power with or without it. No races were ever won simply because of the pipe on the bike. It's 95% rider at the pro level.
All things to think about when spending big $$$

The first test it had the spark arrestor in. The second test it didnt because I was tuning with the a/f meter. But the Rossier had better numbers both times.

Got nads?

When I bought my Rossier they told me that the short can responds to mods better then long can (i.e. big bore kits).

It's the other way around the long can should have better top, and short will have better low! :D

You ran the PC for a bit right? i thought you posted at .org about it feeling stronger than the dyno let on, but now your running the rossier again right? What is the difference in bike feel with the 2? What is the advantage you feel in running the rossier over the PC? just wondering.
