Well, for some time now i've been comtemplating switching handlebar bends. Mainly because I prefer to use a stock length stem and most MX riding is done standing up. I've used the SX bend which is a tad taller, a bit wider, and less swept back than the popular CR High bend. I really liked that bend but it just wasn't tall enough for me, and I'm only 5"6" BTW.

So i've been watching a lot of the freestyle guys in QFMX, FMX, and SFX and I noticed a trend: higher bars. Why do they use them? Not just for easier bar tricks, but higher bars put you in a more upright, commanding position while in the air. It's a definite advantage over being hunched over your bars in the air. I finally found out which bend a lot of guys use and I decided to try them out: the Mini High bend. It's about an inch and a half taller than my old SX bend while being even more straight, but also narrower in width. A narrower bar might limit your leverage a bit, but being a relatively small guy, they fit me better than a wider bar.

There's been a lot of interest in new higher bar bends on the forums lately so I thought I would share this interesting bend with you guys. I think they look and feel plain sick!
Anyways, here's some before and after pics for comparison.

Thanks :) Feels awesome! Of course they feel a bit awkward at first but that's what happens when you switch bends after using the same one for so long. I'm already used to the feel and I like em very much :D The Flexx's are definitely a sweet setup, just a little more $$$ than I would like to spend for a set of handlebars IMO.

I see you're from Illinois... Don't know how close you are, but have you ever ridden the Wabash River bottoms? I'll be in the Terre Haute part tommorow all day.
