OIL Change quetion IMportant.

me and my buddy are doign an oil change on his 400ex. He is using mobil 1 and we are wondering what will hapen if u put 2 quarts of oil in rather than the recomended amount...Thanx.

if that is more than the recomended amount then it will smoke alot if it is less it will fry your top end

If you changed the oil filter, 2 quats is perfect. Don't put it in all at once, though. Put like a quart and 3/4 in, then run it for 5 minutes, then top it off. If you put it in all at once it will overflow, since there is no oil inside the motor yet.
