Hey guys,

can I run my 400EX without the snorkel if I don't ride in any water, I was going to put some pantyhose over it and clamp it down, or I was going to seal it off all together (hole where the snorkel goes). Thanks guys!

Several people remove the snorkel, I'd seal it off completely though.

defenitly, toss that snorkle far far away it is just an air restriction and added weight

I remover mine, but I run without a lid so i get plenty of air flow. If you do remove it I would recommend plugging it off completely just incase you go through water and to keep other stuff from entering the airbox from the front. I used a paint can top and duct tape to plug mine(that's what others recommended on here)

unless its really dusty where you ride you dont have to seal it off

I go to Little Sahara State Park (dunes) several times a year so I think I will go ahead and seal it off.

Seal her off.. and consider putting an outerwears lid on the box. It will help filter some of that sand dust so you dont clog up the filter as fast out there in Wynoka, OK.

if you seal the snorkel hole completely off ( which is best ) you have to have some kind of vented airbox lid or u will be getting zero airflow
