Here's a 71 Cuda ... did it look like this?? It had the "shaker" hood.

Here's another 71 Cuda with another color combo . This one is a 340 with a shaker .

If you seen a 440 painted this way , and it was in perfect shape with numbers matching , make sure you have a TON of cash in the bank to buy it . :p They aren't for the penny pinchers.

Everyone seems to be forgetting the other Great car.

442 Olds? you said you saw from a distance so maybe it actually said 442 and not 440.

My dad will be glad to hear about this guy . I finally found his back plate for the rear of his Cuda at the Barrie Automotive Flea Market a few weeks ago . They don't give them away cheap ... it ended up costing me $475 for a brand new chrome pannel . Kind of a deal , since they what about $800 US for a brand new one .. if you can find one .

Here are my 2 mopars, the blue one is a 1971 Dodge Challenger convertible. Originally a 318 car, now has a 440-6 Pak in it.

The red one is all original!! it's a 1970 Plymouth Cuda with it's original 440-6 Pak motor.

Mopars were the baddest muscle cars ever built!!

The rarest of all muscle cars, the '71 Hemi Cuda convertible, they only made 7. If you find one of these, please call me ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/briansgi/challenger.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/briansgi/cuda.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/briansgi/shaker.jpg

That's not a '71 unless it's got the wrong grill. The grill on the '71 is totally different than the '70 Cuda's. Look at the previous pic of the Hemi, it is a '71 and look at it's grill, that's how you tell the difference.

Also interesting, someone put the AAR stripes on this car but I doubt if it's an original AAR Cuda. All AAR's and T/A's had flat black fiber glass hoods on them with ram air, none had the shaker setup like is on this car.

The only E body cars, cuda's and challengers, that came with flat black hoods were the AAR Cuda and the T/A Challenger, both cars were only made for one year, 1970. They both had 340 motors with three 2 barrel carbs, and they were unbelieveably fast!!

They made approximately 2400 of each car. They had to be a "production" car in order to race in the AMA sanctioned, or whatever that road race type racing was called back then. Then Mopar pulled the plug on each car in '71. It makes the AAR's and the T/A's very valueable for that reason, only in production for one year!!

PLEASE!!!!! With all due respect, the 442 is not even in the same ball park with the great Mopar muscle cars. The largest motor the 442 ever had in the Cutlass was a 400CI with 350 HP!!

Plus it's styling, IMHO, never even got close to matching the sexy lines of the Cuda's and the Challenger's!!

Never said it was the greatest dude, but was a great car and when modded very crazy car.

The point of posting it was to make sure he wasnt mistaking it for something else... just trying to help him, not discuss which is better/faster.

i know what it is...it is a cuda. ways to tell...440 on the side w/ the stripe only cudas had that. the number 440 indicates mopar cuz only mopar had a 440 engine. and the shaker hood. it was a cuda.
