Is it a clutch or transmission problem

OK i just bought a 2005 450 about three months ago. My buddie also bought one the same day. Whe I am out riding sometimes when I go to get on it real hard it acts like it is downshifting when I am not doing any thing put pinning the throttle My buddy has also noticed this with his any ideas on what the hell is wrong with it

mine does it too....usually in third gear, it's annoying as hell

does it kind of jump to the next lower gear? i have noticed mine doing that after i shift into 5th. i think you need to make sure you shift all the way.

mine did the same thing at my race last saturday, i must have not clicked it all the way into 2nd and it popped back down into neutral

Sometimes when you shift it doesn't engage all the way. I have had mine do it a few times!

thanks i kinda wondered if it was me shifting the other day it happend when i was standing and riding a wheelie and my **** about got real ugly
