I have works shocks and have had real good luck with them. However, I am told that everyone else makes even better shocks, TCS, PEP, Axis and Elka. I got mine cheap is the main reason I got the Works. You get what you pay for, in most cases. If I was running alot of mx I would have something different.

other companies use bigger shafts, better materials, better valving systems, etc....

I'm not speaking from experience but, for the money Elka is a good shock. PEP's standard race shocks are good as well. TCS is a very good one as well.

I was just wondering will the works hold up. Will the works wear out or break before the better shocks or is it the othere shocks have a better ride. I'm use to the stock shock so any thing will be better.

Of course the more expensive shocks are better than works. I had works and i must say my Axis's are 10 time better. I have no regrets at all. BUT the works are much better than stock. I had tripe rates with ressies.

Hey EX80 you want hear some thing funny.
I went out and but a battery and that fix my starting problems. The same day I bought it I let my friend use the quad and the bolt that holds the battery in fall out. Well the battery fell out also and the stupid fuc* rode quad around for like 15 min with battery hanging. it broke the battery into a million peices. I could have killed him.
Now I have to jump start that fuc*ing quad again.
I paid like 70.00 dollars for that battery too.

Ha, that sucks man. Getting back to your shock question, I guess it all depends on what you want to spend.

Well I mite buy elka's. But the extra could be spent an axle. Its sucks you can't just buy one thing at a time and it cost so much money.

Don`t Cheap out on Shocks. They are the most Important Chassis Part on your Quad. I think the Works would work if you are not Racing, but I would look at Elka`s and PEP`s.

Yep I bought works when i first started racing and did not know much better. Now i know more about the sport i bought the best. But when i did start i bought a arms, axle, works shocks, and nerf bars. But If you don't have any money saved or a credit card you are kind of screwed. I find my self using plastic alot. I'd suggest elka to ya sicko. They are a a sharp looking shock and every one that i have talked to that has them at the races loves them alot. On june 16 look for me and i can show you a few guys with elka shocks.

Nothing against works (I've had them and loved them) but if your going to pay $500 for works with rezzies, consider the Elka's w/o rezzies for the same price. IMO :p

I agree with smoker.......if your gonna spend that kinda money (500) then whats the bit extra for the "better quality" brand
