go to the haggard backwoods mill out int he country (if u have one) and ask for REAL round-up now this stuff aint cheap now, its like...over a 100 bucks a gallon but its the only thing that will kill kudzoo(sp?) idk what youre trying to take out but a good ol fashion fire never hurt anything...well it did but thats the point...

what do you want to kill? If you read the labels on the different products, you will see that they have products to kill all weeds, grass, and/or all vegetation.

It takes a couple days after you spray it to see results depending on what you are trying to kill

:scary:

round-up is good for broadleaf plants and grasses. it wont do squat to stubborn shrubs/thorns/bushes.

ally (granular) or crossbow(liquid) is a brush killer.

2-4D is also real potent on broadleaves.

you can also mix in some clarity (broadleaf) and some ammonium sulfate (granular) to help the spray work more quickly.

most of this stuff you wont be able to just get anywhere. you would probably have to talk to a farmer or get a chemical license or just go to a local farm supply store (not Farm & Fleet, like a REAL farm store).

most of these chemicals aren't very cheap, here is a few rough estimates...

round-up - $50 a gallon
2-4D - $20 a gallon
ally - $50 an ounce (comes in a 2oz container that makes enough spray for a little over 100 gallons)
amm. sulfate - $30 a bag (50lbs)
crossbow - $40 a gallon

you can always mix a few together to get the desired effect...
round-up and crossbow for all weeds, grass, and brush
2-4D and crossbow for broadleaf weeds and brush
etc...

go to you're local local farmer spray store and ask for landmaster or bronate or both and mix 2.5 gallons of one of those with 100 gallons of water and you can kill almost any thing. My dad being a farmer I normally just go to the barn and grab some leftover stuff with all different "colors" and then I have some fun

find a local farmer, most of them still have a stash of the good stuff that is now banned for use...lol

i got a small jug from a friend 8 or 9 years ago and it mixes at like 2 tablespoons per 5 gallons. its scorched earth after a day or two and the weeds , infact nothing comes back.

southern states or other farm storemay have something similiar that wont kill the fish in the surrounding states:p

we put ours on a 15 ft chain with a 6 ft piece of steel stock hammered into the ground with a loop bent into the end of it and and hed stand there and eat all day long. killed our whole yard so we could plant new grass and now we have no more weeds. i changed my mind of the home depot stuff...it deff aint worth the 150 it costs....its a good thing we got it for free...:macho

like couple people said, youll need to get with a farmer that has the good stuff, this crap they sell in stores is watered down for the average person.

06-25-2005, 07:24 AM
Go to your local COOP, they sell what's called "Brush Killer". It kills everything!

If you want some really cool stuff that kills everything +, it will sterilize the ground for 3 years, get Pramitol. I think it's still available but I'm not sure. It works REAL GOOD!!!!!

I sell farm/ag chemicals and if your looking to spray the weeds in your grass but not kill the grass use some 24D amine, I sell it for 13.20 a gallon. if your not spraying grass you can use any generic roundup or glyphos.

If your trying to kill all the vegitation along a fence row, to keep the weeds from shorting out a hot wire. You can buy Triox at the feed store, mix it at double strenght and apply it once a year in the spring. Or if you can get your hands on some Bromacil granular ground sterilizer, you can put it down once every three to five years. This is what I use in my gravel parking area. But you have to be very careful with it, it will leeche into the neighbors yard and kill their grass, for a VERY LONG TIME!:o You may have to get a applicators license to purchase the bromacil, but trust me there is a reason they call it "ground sterilizer.;)

David,

No i am not it Iraq yet.........but thats another story i did just get back from a deployment to Italy.....much better than Iraq im sure...anyhow the stuff mentioned above is the ticket, but the license or proof of being an agriculture farmer might be a problem they are really cracking down on chemicals now days but thats just the worls we live in you know......my father suggests a weed killer at the co-op called GLY-4 he says it will work great just that what ever sprayer you use for it must always be used for that pupose because it CANNOT be rinsed clean after using it for gly-4 its good stuff though just very stout cannot be washed out after use so use it smart like......hope this helps.

Erik
