ok i changed my mind i was wanting to make a 440ex but money situations will not allow and i have 300 bucks so what all do i need for a top end rebuild and how much will it cost me and my dad can build it.
thanks for your help
around 50 to 60 bucks if all you want are rings and new gaskets a piston will be another 100 or so but you probably dont need it

I would definately change the valve seals, they're pretty cheap

New stock valve springs from Service Honda are not all expensive, so you could get new ones just to be safe. I got new springs and rockers when I rebuilt mine over a year ago...

sadly havent got it in yet. but its supposed to be pretty good. Not reccomended for bored out engines (well built ones) because they say it wont do a lot and heat issues. will post back when i install it!

should have the cylinder bore checked for spec. if its out of round you will need to bore it. if its in spec then just hone. i always bore out to the next size then you know you have a good cylinder thats round.

To get all new valve springs will be $34.16 from Service Honda, plus shipping. I say if you have it apart, just replace them...
