Alright help me out here guys. When I am in neutral and I pull the clutch in to shift into first it like clicks really loud like it is skippin and then it like moves with the clutch pulled in and I gotta hold the brakes to keep it from movin. I adjusted the clutch cable right by the lever and then the piece right by the engine and I have it better but it still wont let me start it in gear with the clutch pulled in because it moves. Also it will wanna move like i said but if i rev it up it seems like it lets the tension out and it doesnt move anymore. Is there someway I can fix this or are they just like that. Any help I would appreciate fellas. Thanks!!

If it was broke I doubt I would have any clutch usage.

Ya i tried both loosening and tightening. too loose and it slips when i get on the throttle and too tight and it does the skipping thing again.

I have no clue on the oil. I literally just got it like 8 hours ago. I would hope that the plates arent bad on it already I mean really though its like exactly a year old and no one raced it.

i bet if you change the oil it will get better. the oil tends to get dirty in these bikes really quick. i also noticed this bike doesnt' shift as smooth as my 400ex and this bike is also a bit louder. my 400ex was really smooth and nothing rattled. i am not saying this bike sounds like a predator but it isnt' quite as quiet as my 400ex was. but what do you expect.....it is more race ready.

Measure your clutch freeplay first. It should be about 1/2 an inch. Not alot more or less. If you are not familiar with freeplay it is the amount your clutch lever moves with just a gentle pull of the lever with your fingers before you start to feel stronger resistance. If you can obtain that amount of freeplay by adjusting it up at your lever then you don't need to mess with it down at the case. Tell us where that is and let us know.

First off change the oil. If it still doesn't help you are going to have to put a new clutch in it. Who knows how the guy rode it before you, some people tend to ride them like a two stroke so good luck once that is fixed you will love it.

Its not the clutch, cause if it was it wouldn't move forward like that it would just slip. Its more than likely your clutch basket. Pull off the side cover and look at the fingers on the basket and Ill bet money that they are grooved. When they become grooved they wont allow the plates to "separate" thus making your quad lurch forward.
