300 ex throwing chain

ok i have a cracked bearing carrier and i'm ordering a new one but i dont think this is the cause cause its not a big crack at all does anyone else know why when i torque on it that the chain comes off? its lines up perfectly and the sprockets and chain are new... the bearings in the carrier are still good as well and the bolts to tighten the carrier up aren't stripped or bottoming out...

Chain too loose?

Your chain should move approx (depending on the quad of course) up and down about 1 inch without a rider sitting on it.

chain is plenty tight... havn't gotten the new carrier and brand new bearing in it yet to soo if that may have been it...

Too tight can throw the chain too. As well as crack your housing and ruin the bearings.

take of your swingarm guard, when you jump, the chain can hit it and knock it off.
