My bro got one about 6 months ago,he went to have his daughters name written in Japanese,but come to find out,it doesnt say his daughters name,it says B*tch instead of Tavia(his daughters name).The guy had to give me brother any tatoo he wanted,any where he wanted it,so he coverd it up and it says his daughters name in old english..

I've got 3 tattoos, with more to come. Some people just get tattoos to look "cool". I don't get them just to get them. It has to have a meaning behind it.

Most parents think tattoos are trashy, my dad actually wants me to get them but he wont let me cut my hair (mohawks, spikes etc) which kinda gets annoying..

If you want to get one just to fit in, or to modify peoples perception of you, those are the wrong reasons. (Keep in mind, regardless of reasoning, some peoples views of you will change. That is inevitable.)

To make a long story short, tattoos can be a great thing. They can also be regretted if not given enough thought. Oh, and they are quite addictive. :D

dunnonuttin, I thought the Bible says not to cut or put marks upon your body for the dead? Maybe it's just my interpretation, but I thought Leviticus 19:28 said not to cut or put print on your bodies for the dead. I know I didn't get my tattoos just to worship the dead.:p
