MX port...Drag port??

Whats the difference between a drag port and mx port??..cant seem like it would make much of a difference.

MX port is most likely going to be a smaller port, to keep some low end, Drag Port is going to be hawged out, bigger port.

The largest difference will be the height of the exhaust port. A higher exhaust port will shift power into the upper powerband.

An MX port would likely come on the pipe early, and have a wide powerband. It would start around 5000 rpm, and peak around 7500RPM. You get a powerband around 2500 rpms wide.

A drag port will come on much later, and have a much stronger "hit". It will begin around 6500RPM, and peak around 8000RPM. At only 1500RPMs wide, and a really hard "hit", it's not very effective for MX racing. Too much wheelspin when the power hits, and very difficult to keep in the powerband if your attention is diverted elsewhere, like jumping, leaning, brakes, lines, and other riders.
