View Full Version : Is the K&N power lid worth its money?

Well i have a z400 the mods are in my sig and i was thinking of buying a k&n powerlid but i have a few questioin like is it worth the money i mean what does it do as far as air flow and power and if anybody has any info on this thing post it on here please!!

If you don't want to spend the money just take the airbox off. It's the exact same thing, except when you have a K&N Filter lid, the air coming into the box will be filtered. You don't really need a lid unless you are riding in extremely dusty, sandy or wet conditions. If you want it to be filtered just ride it without the lid for a while and if you like what it does get the lid. You'll probably have to jet the carb to feel a difference, usually it makes a hole in the power without it.

i dont think it that hard to make ur own.cuz i love the way the bike powerband is w/o the lid so im goona cut a hole in mine and put a a/c filter in and hold it with srcews and bolts with the little ring thing the kandn on has

i would say its no worth it, jus take the lid off.

hell no its a waste of moola for sure!!! all it does is "replace the snorckle wit the lid, just keep intake track and take off lid, (put on when muddy or wet);) also a BIDDY to jet correctly!! as it gets dirtyer in richens it up d@mnit :mad: :mad: :mad:

K&N and outerware, and then put wd 40 into the air box, coat the sides, this makes alot of the dust stick to the sides.
