I'm gonna get some new rear tires with my next paycheck, and i've narrowed it down to the ITP holeshot, Maxxis Razr, and GBC shredder R/A. I'm going to be getting 20 x 11 x 8 because they need to fit on my existing rims. I need a tire that does pretty well in everything, I ride mostly in sandy desert type terrain, but occasionally in woods with clay and mud. Has to be pretty puncture resistant too, theres too many damn rocks up here! Anyone have any opinons on any of these tires???

first of all your stock rims are 9in. so that means u need 20x11x9 tires. i really like my razrs they have lasted about 6-7 months and still have alot of tread left. im getting kinda tired of them tho. they dont do to well in real sandy stuff. i got the 4 plyy and hadnt had and trouble with holes.

i also suggest the holeshot xcr they are made for 4 bangers. they are the 20in ones with angled knobs.

I really like my Razr MX's for motocross, I've tried the Holeshot MX's and I prefer the Razr's over the holeshots:macho

The Razr's is what i would pick. They should work better in the loose stuff then the holeshots or shredders because their tread pattern is more spread out.

I would get the Holeshot XCR or wait for the New Razr 2`s. That`s what I`m doing. Also one Guy at our Local XC Race had Holeshot Rears and Razr Fronts.

Haha Don't Laught, cause I may be wqrong, but Warrior Man, I hear Razr's bounce off tree's better than Holeshots,so thats why soem run them in the front. Also, dude,I'd go with some Holeshot XCR's!!

Im runnin Razr and they have great hookup. They do better in mud than my stockers and should do ok in clay but lose sand will eat em. They really suck in soft/wet sand and soft/wet rocks. Dunno how good any of the others are but if the Holeshots hookup good in sand then I would go with them.

I've got Holeshots xcs' all around, and they are awesome. They are a little heavier than mxs', but they are 6 ply (puncture resistant). Never tried Razors, but would like to know how they compare.:D

It all depends on how lom=ng you want your tire to last. A holeshot mx has about the best traction but you will be buying tires every 5 rides. The regular holeshots have about the best traction but they tend to wear quicker.Raz-r has good traction and a LITTLE longer life to them.Shredders has pretty good traction in about everything and will out last by about two to one. So the question is how long are you wanting your tires to last you?

Hey i have razrs and i think they are great! In Pennsylvania we have alot of old ash dumps and i always got flats before i had my razrs cause the terrain is rough on tires. But now i dont have a problem. They are the "bullet" proof 6 plys. I highly recommend getting them. :D :p
