How do u disassemble a Shock?

Hey i just bought some works shrocks with remote ressies, the springs are alittle chipped and I want to take the springs off so i can get them blasted and powdercoated, i also want to polish them! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Basically you want to take just the springs off or do you want to take the whole shock apart to polish it. if you want to take just the springs off you will need to compress the spring and at the bottom of the spring is a clip that holds it on, it cups onto the lower eyelet . If you want to take the whole shock apart i would reccomend having someone who has done it before do this for you it may not be the issue of taking it apart but there comes a time when you have to put it back together and that may be an issue.
