my bro took my wheeler out last weekend and rolled it down a hill. it broke my rear fender off so imma get new plastics. I think white looks sharp but I like grey too. I just want somethin kinda different. does anyone have pics of their 300's with aftermarket plastic? another question is should I go with race cut or full fenders. do you get completely covered in mud and dirt or is it just a little bit more?

Black is really sharp, just paint the hubs and stuff black it would look sweet.

yeah white does look pretty sharp. I ride everything. I'm a recreational rider and the place I ride at has 2 tracks, a creek, and trails, both sand and dirt. I ride it all till I get bored then I go home.

Get some silver fullbores. That will look really nice. And silver doesnt show scratches as bad.

dont get black! my friends 1 month old 450r looks like crap. the black just fades quickly or somthin.

Thanks for linking to my quad man.

The white isn't that hard to keep clean. The scratches can show some dirt if you don't keep them clean. But so far, I've not really had any trouble out of mine.

I'd say if you're going to get some plastics, get Maier. Buy the full fender fronts and do your own custom cut on them. You'll be a lot happier than buying their race cut fronts.

Personally, I don't like the looks of the Fullbore at all. The flare of the fenders is kinda nice, but that's about it. I think those little scoops that are molded into the front look about half retarded.

I can honestly say, that after looking at a lot of different 300's with Fullbore's, that I am happy I bought my Maiers because they're priced pretty good, and I love the way my fronts turned out.

The stock 450R black fades 100 times quicker than Maier blacks. you can go to your local Honda dealer and see 450's where the tank is already pretty scuffed just from people touching it or sitting on it.

so you guys don't have much trouble gettin terribly dirty with race cuts? I wish they made some full fenders that weren't quite full. haha. like toned down a tad so they're not so bulky. when mine get muddy they sag like a mother.

I don'tre get that dirty with mine being cut. Granted, I prolly don't ride as much in the woods as you. But, when I go out riding during the rain, about the only problem I run into is water getting thrown up on me.

One thing you could do, is to do somethign similar to the way I cut mine, but not cut them down as far. Kinda the way Doug Gust has the fenders cut on his Z400. They only trim them down a few inches. Besides, the Maier fronts are pretty wide, so it wouldn't hurt to trim them a little.

I really like the Full Fenders from Fullbore. That's what I run.

The little scoops never did anything for me.. but I really like the leading edge of the front of the full fenders.

I agree on the cutting your own race fenders though.

Here's a sample of the 300ex Full Fender Fullbores. (not my quad, this ones obviously all show.. they wont let you on a track w/o nerfs.. lol.)

If it's used for XC, you don't need nerfs.

the thing with race cuts is, you have to then paint your frame because it is being exposed. If you dont get it painted it would look crappy. I have been looking to get maier race cuts but i like the fullbore regulars

doesn't maier make a set that resembles the 450R fenders now?
