I am looking into getting a new quad. I was looking into the honda 400ex. I am 5 foot 6 and 110 lbs at the age of 16 (yes im skinny). Will the 400ex be right for me? i also noticed that the grab bar is part of the subframe, is there a way to get a removable grab bar or something? Any problems to look for when buying a used 400ex?

get 400ex. you will be fine. the only way to have a detachable grabar is to buy a subframe that allows you to do it, or cut the old one off and bolt on a 250r grab bar. 400ex are almost bullet proof. if you get a used one just look it over well.

If your going to buy one used, ask to ride it around or test it. Look for cracks in the chassis, and make sure you look everything over carefully. Maybe take the back seat off and check the air box. GL.

yes, most deffiantly test ride it and a little trick i learned is check the airfilter. if it is bad and needs a cleaning in most cases that means the guy didnt take care of his quad.
