i got a 05 416ex and all this stuff in it(look at sig) but when i get done ridding motor is hot, im coasting in, it sometimes dies or when its still running i will hit the front brakes going about 5 mph and it dies. i have a 42 pilot in it with 155 main. fuel screw is 3 turns out. it doesnt pop or backfire when letting off the gas. spark plug is a nice brown, i tried putting in a 45 pilot but it just didnt start good. it only does this when the motor is hot. but with the 42 pilot it starts pretty good when motor is cool. im out of ideas. please help.

turn the mixture screw in a 1/2 turn or so and see if that helps. you may even need to raise the idle a bit. a cam with more duration can make the idle decrease. make 100% sure you don't have any air leaks or cracks in any of the air boots.

it backfires when i screw in the air/fuel mixture screw. 3 turns out is when it stops, should i turn it out more? or should i bump up the pilot to a 45 and screw in the air/fuel mixture screw some? i dont think there are any air leaks or cracks in the boots, the machine is still somewhat new:ermm:

3 turns out on the fuel screw is fine if that is where it sounds best.
