I have been running my bike hard now for about a year and I have decided to put a new Top end on my bike just Because. I don't want a high compression piston because I have heard bad things and I just want to keep it pretty much stock. Should I
A. Buy a GYTR Piston rings and seals
B. Just buy new rings seals and keep the stock piston
C. Buy a different Piston like a JE...???
Your opinions are appreciated!

I would go with "A", replace the piston, rings and seals.

our JE piston just broke and I know of 2 others thad did also. I would go with a 12:1 Wiseco.

I have heard the JE pistons break. I am either going to buy GYTR or Wiseco. Is 12:1 stock??

JE makes pistons for GYT-R.

I have had my GYT-R in for a year (oh yeah, definitely time for a rebuild) and I haven't had any problems at all.

Why or why not should I go with Wiseco?
I'm leaning more toward playing it safe and just buying the GYT-R but I would like to here a couple of opinions please other then the piston sucks. And I'm not asking how it performs in anything other then the YFZ. Thanks

When I installed my GYT-R I noticed a gain in power, it seemed more snappy and a little torquey, lost a little of the rev ability, but nothing noticeable. Don't expect it to be a brand new machine, it'll just be snappier.

I would reccomend using the Wicked Pistons by CP Pistons.

They can be seen here http://www.wickedmotorsportsusa.com/

Contact the guy and inquire him about the Wicked Pistons. These pistons were custom built by the specs of fellow YFZ drag racers (YFZtech) by CP Pistons. They have pages and pages of results in their site and it has shown as much top speed as a 460 up a hill. (Same bike, chassis, gearing and tires.)

49mph is what they got.
