Ok, so My 330 has been running rich, so today I took apart the carb and took out the plug and realized it was really black, so I moved the needle clip up 2 notches. Wow it made a huge improvement on top end and midrange where it would missfire everynow and then. But the problem is now that I lost some throttle response and soem power down low. It will stutter a little bit when I get on it hard. My pilot jet is stock (38) so do you think if I move it up to a 40 it will take care of my problem?? I still need to run a plug check and see if the main jetting problem is fixed, because the motor was too hto to take the plug out. I think the top end jetting is fixed but do you think bumping up th epilot will fix the low end miss I am having?

Probably.. but try adjusting the airscrew to see it it fixes it first.

My stock pilot works fine in my 330.

Just an FYI-Sparks recommends a 42 pilot with the x-4 w/needle in the stock position and a 135 main jet. I have mine this way and it runs perfectly. Hope this helps.

Keep dreamin............ You are almost as fast as me because ur quad has those big gay 22 inch tires that it cant pull. The only problem is that my lawnmower has more torque than your quad.

300exOH, I might try that pilot jet. But I am looking for an aftermarket carb, my lectron isnt worth the trouble.

Mine stumbled at about 1/8th throttle until I put the 42 pilot in. Now it's very smooth. I don't know anything about the lectron carbs but I've heard good things about the edelbrock(sp). They cost quite a bit though. Personally I would give the pilot jet a try. It might save you a chunk of change.;)

The pilot jet will definetly be a cheaper mod. But I want a Mikuni 38mm flatslide or an edelbrock because I am breathing a 330 motor through a stock barrel carb, and it will make a huge difference if I get a bigger carb.

Yeah with the 330 kit you may benefit by running a larger carb. Have you thought about the 400ex carb? I hear the jetting is tricky but it's supposed to be worth it.

Yea I tried the 400 carb too. I am a very impatient person, and after about 4 different jetting combo's I gave up. I just found a Mikuni 34mm carb and I am going to make a thread on it and see what every1 says.

LOL-I can relate to being impatient:eek2: Good luck finding something that works for you.
