i saw a comercial for the new 2006 dodge charger, and i had to check it out on the dodge site myself. this thing looks pretty much like a sports coupe version of the magnum. i like the looks of the one with the hood scoope on it myself.

they are a coupe version of the magnum with a different grill and head lights. The one with the hoodscoupe is pretty nice is just dont like that there 4 doors. There pretty nice and the motor will make up for it.

I'm not really big on any of the new stuff comming out of detroit. The new chargers, and gto's they look nothing like the originals, and IMO aren't fit to be wearing thier names. The charger is just a different body on the same platform and the 300c's and the magnums.

i think as far as getting back to its heritage...ford did an unbelievable job..the new stang looks awsome..

I don't like the looks of the new chargers at all. Don't get me wrong I would take one but they didn't do a good job bringing it back to life.

my cousin is one of the people that helped design the charger... hes designed a ton of the new dodges and chrylsers...


he told me they made it 4 doors for insurance reasons... and that the had a general lee version with a roll cage and a bigger motor made and ready to go into production and diamler chrylser scraped it...

damn thats one ugly car lol As much as I hate ford, I have to agree they did do a good job on the new muskrat, I mean mustang.. :o

i deffently have to agree with that. i like the charger to some extent but id take the new mustang over it.

the new charger is sooo lame. its hideous first of all. and its a 4 door sedan unlike the original chargers. it doesnt live up to its heritage at all! in fact all it is is a chrysler 300 with different sheet metal. i'd take a 300 over that car any day but really i wouldnt want either. the new charger is a joke and so are hemis. give me a break.

i hate it all dodge did was downsize the magnum and throw the same exact hemi in the charger that the truck and all of the other cars have in them

I guess I'm the only one that likes the new charger. Its not to big nor to small. The front-end looks mean as hell and with the 5.7, it should haul *** and the sticker price is far below than what I thought it would be. I'd buy one!:D

mopar or no car baby...i love it.

i hate the new mustang, but that GT500 is gonna be sweeeeeeet. is dodge going to make a special charger, like an SRT-8 or something?

and thats exactly why the chargers are priced like they are, developing a new drivetrain would have been pretty damn expensive

I agree with you %100 on that one. I hate fords with a passion, chevys all the way. But I will admit they did a good job on the mustang.

yes there will be an SRT8. its still going to be gay. and yeah those new GT500's are going to be awesome..luckly we're going to be getting one to go along with our 70 GT500.

ps- the charger ISNT a downsized magnum, its a rebadged 300.
