Hey I finished my banshee up finaly tonight but idk it seems kinda bleh to me? Maybe I'm just too picky but I have aarms, and front & back shocks on the list for next winter. anyone else have some ideas? I'm getting a full billet stator cover for it as well. Then some mx tires when I ride at rausch and such, 18s in the rear19s up front. I know its a FAR cry from what it use to be so that makes me very happy knowing that!

Taking the sliding glass door apart, one of the reason I dont feel like rushing it because I also have to find a place to put it till I can put up some french doors/barn doors. :ermm:

Oh no! Cannondales look like frogs, lol. But I love the look

but yeah, I would be going nuts having something looking that nice and not riding it. How can you stand it.

And why do you want more already, it looks great.:D

Josh - Here's a pic of my buddy's Banshee here in Okinawa. It's stroked, single carbed, got Elka's, A-arms and more.

Pic came out kinda nasty after I resized it too many times.

Get 20 inch front tires, you'll have a much better ride. You'll feel every bump on the track with a 19 inch front tire.

Mxjunkie, I think your Banshee looks SHARP as is. But, if you think it's "bleh", maybe you could find a graphics kit or get some reinforcing rings for the wheels & powdercoat them. IDK.
I remember when you brought that thing home though.:p Big difference since then, huh?

the local shop sells OMF rings, but I dont think you can weld rings to douglas blue label wheels.

1/2 inch bigger won't make that big of a difference

Me personally, I like the "bleh" factor. Nice, clean, sharp, but nothing obnoxious. I don't have graphics kits on my quads, or wild unusual color combinations.

I favor traditional looks. I'm not the type for a yellow frame and sky-blue plastics. I like quads that look good, but not gawdy.

My personal opinion is to keep it exactly as it is.

I love the plain look as well, I just think it seens something special to make it turn some heads big time, I figure I spent money on it I might as well keep going.

Blue Labels? Them things won't hold up to a harescramble!

I agree though...I think its awesome the way it is..maybe some beadlock rears...then it'd look sick.

Have you started that thing yet?

I think why you think it's a little blah is because you have a little too much of that burgandy color. I remember arguing on aim a while ago with you about that. It needs like some chrome or black on the a arms and swinger, mabey even blue.

But you did one hell of a job on considering what it once was, and you should be very proud of it. Even when my R is done, I know there is gonna be more I wanna do with it.

P.S. Can't wait to race you at Rauch this summer:devil:

Yea that thing has come a long way. I remember looking at pics of it when you had brought it home. I like it the way it is, but yea you should get some beadlock rears and some ultimate fronts. Just my opinion.

I hate mixing colors, its not the whole burgundy it just needs some more bling I suppose.

My YFZ didn't take to well to that "half inch" difference, and I run 2 dampners and ended up selling those tires.

Invest in suspension mods it lets you ride faster itīs one of the low points on the banshees and all the power is even more hard to manhandle if it hasnīt shocks

06-20-2005, 10:44 AM
a guy I was riding with made him himself with some plexi glass or something...didn't look to hard to fabricate up. I'm pretty sure it was for the stator because you could see the oil sloshing around and everything.

Mxjunkie
06-20-2005, 10:47 AM
About the shocks I'm allready saving up for them, I want to get works front shocks just for now then maybe if I have enough money come next race season I'll invest in high dollar suspension :) I'll be racing xc so their wont be to many jumps besides the mx parts of most of the tracks, I dont think I'll get to carried away with it...

well its either clear one or the billet one from trinty.. I'm going to end up making this thing so I wont even want to race it... oh well every year rebuilds are fun

If it was up to me, i would have threw black plastic on, with a bright colored frame......

Have someone photoshop different color plastics on your quad.

But what the hell do i know about anything

That would be the clutch cover then, the stator/flywheel doesn't have oil "sloshing around". If it was actually the stator, then I think your friend has problems:ermm:
